Tutorial Programs
Our program serves grades K-8 in the areas of Mathematics and Reading/Writing. Our staff sets up high expectations and helps constructing meanings in the life of every child. Although the district, the state designs their standards but Ideal Tutoring Program will adapt the Pearson Curriculum that are both proven researched based programs that are aligned with the Sunshine State Standards. Our reading curriculum addresses the five key components of reading instruction: explicit and systematic instruction in phonemic awareness; phonics; vocabulary development; reading fluency, including oral reading skills; and reading comprehension. Our math program addresses the five content standards – number operations, algebra, geometry, measurement and data analysis and probability documented in the research findings. These skills enable the students to construct personal meanings and meaningful where learning has a purpose. These programs are based on the students’ real world experiences as they apply these skills in their future learning. Finally, these programs emphasize higher-order thinking, actively and authentically engage the students in cooperative learning, and organize heterogeneous grouping to make learning more accountable to achieve and attain their powerful goals for the 21st Century.
Reading/Writing Curriculum
Ideal Tutoring Program will employ the best reading and effective method motivating children to read and improve their comprehension, rate, expressiveness, and fluency. The children will learn how to utilize the necessary reading strategies, decoding skills, and identify unfamiliar words to promote independent reading and experience an excitement about literacy. The Pearson Curriculum promotes reading success that is essential for every child. Although reading is a developmental process, every child in the program will sequentially develop the necessary skills and employ the appropriate strategies to become a proficient fluent reader. The students will integrate writing into their reading. They will use strategies to employ effectively their writing process, communicate their ideas and information, their speaking, and listening.
